Boardwalk Pipeline Partners, LP (NYSE: BWP) is a Master Limited Partnership (MLP) engaged, through its three subsidiaries, Gulf Crossing Pipeline Company LLC, Gulf South Pipeline Company, LP, and Texas Gas Transmission, LLC in the interstate transportation and storage of natural gas. Boardwalk directly serves customers in 12 states and has approximately 14,200 miles of pipeline and 11 underground storage fields with aggregate certificated working gas capacity of approximately 163 billion cubic feet. Boardwalk is looking for an Electronic Technician for the Paris, Texas location. The Electronic Technician will be responsible for the instrumentation, electrical/electronic, and mechanical maintenance of Gulf Crossing's natural gas compressor station located in Paris, Texas. This will include the turbine and reciprocal units at this facility and may occasionally require assistance at one of the other local stations. This position will be responsible for recognition and reporting of abnormal and safety related operating conditions, accident and near miss reporting, as well as emergency response. This position is also responsible for regulatory compliance, operations, maintenance, and repair procedures as associated with DOT, industry standard, manufacturer, and company guidelines as they relate to facility equipment and appurtenances. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: monitor and adjust all electric, electronic, and pneumatic control circuits; detect faulty or defective components; maintain calibration and analyze results of all instruments; maintain familiarity with current electrical codes. This position will be expected to respond to call-outs and will be part of on-call rotations at our Paris, TX location for troubleshooting downtime, or regulating and maintaining engine compression online status. This position will also assist in the day to day operations of the pipeline facilities in the Paris area. Qualified candidate must live within 30 miles and 30 minutes of the Paris, TX facility in order to respond to call outs expediently. Requirements Requirements for the position include: Strong I&E background Strong mechanical aptitude Excellent verbal communication and problem solving skills Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet, ability to operate valve control wheels with a minimum of 50 turns.
