We are currently seeking a highly motivated Wastewater Construction Program Manager located in Seattle, WA .

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Certifications/Licenses:

  • Project Engineer (PE) Certification in the State of Washington (or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
  • LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP)
  • Certified Cost Professional (CCP)

Required Qualifications:
In order to become a candidate, you must possess the following skills and abilities:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in construction management
  • Proven ability to lead and manage large-scale projects valued at $50 million or more
  • Direct experience providing construction management (CM) services on behalf of owners for wastewater-related projects
  • Extensive experience with public infrastructure projects, including work in public utilities, water systems, and civil engineering projects

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees project delivery teams (assurance managers, inspectors, construction managers, etc.), ensuring that each project is progressing according to plan and adhering to the program's objectives for safety, cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Monitors project schedules and milestones, coordinating with the Scheduler to track progress and with the Cost Control team to manage the budget. Initiates corrective actions or resource adjustments if a project is lagging or overrunning costs.
  • Conduct site inspections, manage on-site personnel, and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction.
  • Manages integration of program-wide initiatives such as system-wide shutdowns or tie-ins.
  • Facilitates problem-solving and decision-making on delivery issues - e.g., resolving conflicts between contractors and designers or expediting critical procurements - to keep work on track.
  • Ensures that construction management and contractor teams have the support and direction needed for efficient project execution. This includes regular coordination meetings and status reporting to quickly identify and address issues.
  • Provides input on strategic decisions and assists in communication with stakeholders about project delivery (e.g., explaining progress or delays in internal briefings).
  • Supports commissioning and turnover processes by coordinating the efforts of the Commissioning Manager, Project Controls Manager, and other specialists so that all systems (mechanical, electrical, controls, etc.) integrate properly during testing and acceptance.

Preferred skills and abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Project
  • Ability to quickly adapt and learn new software tools and project management systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Understanding of wastewater treatment processes, infrastructure design, and modern construction methodologies
  • Demonstrated commitment to enforcing and maintaining workplace safety standard and protocols.

Salary:

  • $120,000-145,000/yr.

Bonus Pay:

A bonus may be granted to employees depending on individual performance, employee utilization, attendance, tenure, and furtherance of other non-financial corporate goals; bonus opportunities are available at management's discretion.
