Seasonal Utility Worker- May thru Aug 2025

Salary: $18.00/hr.
To perform a variety of semi-skilled duties involved in the care and maintenance of landscape at water utility facilities and to perform specialized projects as assigned. SUPERVISION General supervision is provided by the Production Supervisor.

• All behaviors comply with the Code of Conduct & Rules of Behavior outlined in chapter 8 of the General Government Policies and Procedures Manual.
• Adheres to assigned work schedule as outlined in city and department attendance policies and procedures.
• Participate in a variety of maintenance and landscape duties including trimming trees and shrubs, pulling weeds, mowing and edging lawns, raking areas, watering plants and trees, sweeping.
• Participate in a variety of facilities maintenance duties including mowing, edging, and litter control at various city pump stations.
• Operate a variety of tools and equipment including power tools, lawn mowers, trucks and tractors; perform general maintenance duties including refueling and lubricating parts; make minor adjustments as necessary.
• Participate in the maintenance and repair of fencing.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform special projects as assigned.
• Maintain work, time and material records.
• Paint fire hydrants as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Must be a minimum 17 years of age. EDUCATION Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance. EXPERIENCE None required.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES Possession of a valid driver's license.

Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM ( May thru August 2025 )
