Position We are searching for a WastewaterOperator to oversee the daily operation of our wastewater treatmentoperation. This operation is part of the Electrocoat process in ourFinishing Department. Reporting to the Ecoat Process Supervisor, thesuccessful candidate will be detail-oriented, thorough, organized andhave the ability to multi-task. Responsibilities Promote Safety as theNumber One Priority of all OMG employees Troubleshoot, maintain andoptimize treatment process Guarantee use of and train on appropriatesafety procedures Perform jar test procedures and operate hydraulicfilter presses Precipitate metals from wastewater using coagulants,flocculants, and pH adjustment Manage solid waste and prep DOTcontainers for shipment Organize and track inventory of wastewaterchemicals Ensure compliance with Massachusetts DEP Discharge PermitPerform other tasks as assigned Requirements High School Diploma orequivalent Massachusetts Grade 2 Industrial Wastewater OperatorCertification (required) (Gr 3I preferred) Strong analytical,mathematical, organizational and communication skills Proven ability totroubleshoot manufacturing equipment both electrically and mechanicallyCapable of overcoming obstacles and completing assignments in a timelymanner Strong working knowledge of industrial controls andinstrumentation preferred Team-oriented approach with a desire to workin a hands-on capacity Positive attitude, good judgment and excellenttime management skills Strong sense of responsibility and ownershipAbility to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands tofinger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with handsand arms, climb or balance; and regularly lift and/or move up to 50pounds Benefits Robust Safety Team to prioritize your safety Diversity,Equity & Inclusion Council promotes an inclusive environment where allemployees feel valued, respected, and heard.
