Utility Systems Repairer Operator Supervisor

This position is located in Grand Canyon National Park, in the Facilities Management and Engineering Division, within the Utilities Branch. Grand Canyon National Park may pay a recruitment or relocation incentive for the applicant selected. The incentive may be up to 25% of the annual rate of pay, multiplied by the number of years in the service period (up to 4 years, depending on length of service agreement). Selective Factors (Screen Out) : You must have a 1) current State of Arizona Water Treatment Grade 3 or higher certification and a 2) current State of Arizona Wastewater Treatment Grade 3 or higher certification. Certifications from other states with the same grades may be considered if it has reciprocity from Arizona State. It is strongly encouraged to also upload this certification document into your application package as well.

To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:
  1. Ability To Lead Or Supervise ( SCREEN OUT )
  2. Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprints reading)
  3. Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment
  4. Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc.
  5. Knowledge of materials
  6. Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic)
  7. Use of Measuring Instruments
If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration. To be found minimally qualified you must be able to perform simple Utility Systems Repairer Operator tasks under the close supervision of a work leader who observes the tasks I am performing and ensures that I perform them properly. Examples of such experience include: (1) operating and maintaining water plants and water treatment plant equipment; (2) performing inspection checks, providing maintenance and repairing or replacing water treatment or distribution equipment; (3) operating and maintaining wastewater systems and treatment equipment; (4) planning water and wastewater systems maintenance and rehabilitation.
