Energy Consultant

Burgess Construction Consultants, Inc., a nationally recognized construction consulting firm, is hiring a New Construction Energy Consultant in the Buckeye, AZ area. We’re seeking motivated professionals with experience in residential construction to conduct Code and Quality Control Inspections, Energy Verification Testing, and provide field training.

Responsibilities:

• Perform on-site inspections for code compliance and construction quality

• Conduct energy efficiency verification testing (e.g., duct leakage, blower door, insulation)

• Provide training and feedback to builders and subcontractors

• Accurately document results using reporting software

• Read and interpret construction plans and specifications

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience with a volume home builder

• Strong knowledge of all phases of new home construction

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

• Tech-savvy with basic computer proficiency

• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation

• Professional appearance and demeanor

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, walk on roofs, and access confined spaces

Preferred Certifications (Not Required):

• Certified HERS Rater or Field Tester

• Green Building Program certifications

• ICC Residential Energy Code Plans Examiner/Inspector

• IRC or Commercial certifications in Building, Plumbing, Mechanical, or Electrical
