Warwick Township Municipal Authority Full-Time Employment Opportunity Water/Wastewater Operator/Laborer Warwick Township Municipal Authority (WTMA) is a Water and Wastewater Authority, located in Warwick Township, Lititz, PA, that offers stable leadership and growth, views employees as valuable resources, and rewards success with competitive pay and benefits. WTMA is seeking a qualified applicant for the full-time position of Water/Wastewater Laborer. The successful candidate will provide support for the operations and maintenance of water/wastewater and distribution/collection facilities as well as a 200 GPM water treatment plant. Responsibilities would include daily activities supporting the 24/7 operations and maintenance of a water distribution/treatment system and wastewater collection system. Specific duties include meter and transmitter repairs and/or replacements, routine maintenance of the collection and distribution lines, along with assisting in complying with all aspects of regulatory compliance. The position also requires on-call rotation, which includes some weekends/holidays. Qualified candidates should have good mechanical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff, and to respond to customers in a pleasant and courteous manner. This position requires the ability to lift and carry 75 pounds, walk and stand for extended periods of time and work under inclement weather conditions. Candidates must possess reliable transportation and live within 30 minutes of our facilities. Strong safety awareness and a good record and understanding of safe work practices are essential. Successful applicants must be at least 18 years of age, possess a valid PA Driver's License, and be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical, a State Police Criminal Background Check, and a PA Department of Motor Vehicle Records Check. The successful candidate will be required to obtain Water Operators and Wastewater Operators Certifications within 3 years from date of hire.
