Water/Wastewater Operator (Entry-Level)

Summary
Performs a variety of tasks supporting the operation and maintenance of water distribution, treatment, and wastewater systems on an assigned shift.

Pay: $22.00- $28.00 per hour DOE

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with routine maintenance and servicing of water/wastewater systems
• Clean and maintain equipment, vehicles, and facilities
• Inspect equipment and perform basic upkeep (oil, lubrication, etc.)
• Maintain grounds (mowing, trimming, debris removal)
• Operate tools and equipment to move materials and support field work
• Assist team members with materials, tools, and daily tasks
• Keep basic records and follow written/oral instructions
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Obtain required licenses within 2 years

Qualifications

• Valid drivers license required
• Basic mechanical knowledge preferred
• Experience with hand/power tools and heavy equipment (backhoes, skid steers, mini excavators) is a plus

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Indoor/outdoor work with exposure to weather, noise, machinery, and chemicals
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, operate equipment, and perform physical labor (bending, climbing, standing, etc.)
• Use of safety equipment required
