Position: Water Treatment Plant, Process Operator

i-80 Gold Corp is seeking a candidate to fill the position of water treatment plant operator. This position requires safe and efficient operation of one or more processes to achieve defined operating targets. These processes include operating heavy equipment, control room operation, chemical testing, visual workplace inspections on a timed interval, lifting of 50 lbs., mechanical work as needed to switch out or repair pumps or water treatment plant components.

Responsibilities

High School Diploma or GED preferredOperation of one or more-unit processesReagent mixing and handlingMonitoring equipment performanceMonitoring and controlling reagent, water and/or slurry flow ratesChecking pumps and valvesDemonstrating effective safety leadership within a team environment and promoting environmental awareness in all work or task related dutiesEnsuring required documentation, logs and reports are up to date and completeMaintaining a high standard of housekeeping in work areasConduct training and provide mentorship to new hiresWorking with and assisting the maintenance team (as required) to ensure equipment is in optimal operating condition to avoid unnecessary downtime or delaysPromptly informing co-workers and supervisors of any recognized safety or operational issuesWorking with co-workers in a friendly and respectful mannerPerforming other duties as required

Qualifications

Prior mining experience strongly preferredPrior water treatment plant experience preferredSkilled ability as a process operator preferredAbility to operate a semi-automated circuit preferredExperience operating forklifts and/or mobile equipmentThe ability to work both day shifts and night shiftsAbility to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision
