Posting Open: Posting Close: 11:59 PM EST Salary: Competitive Position Purpose Direct preparation and implementation of long-term maintenance strategies, assessments, maintenance support, and oversight to provide corrective and preventive turbine maintenance during refueling outages and improve turbine performance and reliability. Also assists with the execution of turbine/generator maintenance activities during outages. Principal Accountabilities Develop maintenance standards and procedures to achieve adequate and consistent processes for turbine maintenance and testing in compliance with industry codes, standards, and guidelines. Develop long-term strategies to provide maintenance for turbines and auxiliary equipment in accordance with the site long-range schedules. Oversee turbine maintenance contracts and evaluate quantity and quality of spare parts to ensure adequate parts and services are available when needed for turbine corrective and preventive maintenance activities. Monitor Turbine Services performance for areas needing attention and evaluate and provide corrective action for operating experience reports, vendor literature, and corrective action documents to minimize plant events and shutdowns from turbine problems. Conduct special assessments, establish and monitor goals and performance indicators, and evaluate maintenance and testing processes to achieve improvements in Turbine Services performance and reliability and cost-effectiveness of maintenance processes. Assists with outage execution related to Turbine Services work during outages. Conduct special projects to address work scope, processes, parts and services, and schedules for major turbine generator maintenance. Serve as the Turbine Services representative for turbine generator with troubleshooting, equipment problems, failure analysis, root cause determination, repair or rework procedures, and corrective action plans. Serve on industry committees to represent TVA in matters relating to Turbine Services performance and maintenance. Minimum Requirements Education - Bachelor in an engineering (e.g., mechanical, electrical) or scientific discipline (e.g., physics); or Professional Registration (engineering); or equivalent related experience. Experience - Six to eight years total experience related to power production with three years' experience related to turbine or generator related maintenance experience and three years related to nuclear plant support. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Must obtain and maintain requirements for nuclear plant unescorted plant access. Candidate may be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance based on position / access requirements and essential job functions.
