Direct Hire  Field Service Technician (Plastics Processing Equipment)
Location:  Kent, OH (Training location) Remote/Hybrid after training
Travel:  50%+ National & International

Position Overview:
As a Field Service Technician, you’ll be the primary technical representative to our customers for all product installation, maintenance, and repair needs. This role offers hands-on work with sophisticated machinery and the opportunity for extensive national and international travel. After in-depth training at our Kent facility, you’ll transition to a remote or hybrid schedule that accommodates your project-based travel. 
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as THE on-site technical expert 
	 - Independently travel to customer locations—domestic and global—for equipment installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair
	 - Conduct yearly follow-up calls and site visits to ensure customer satisfaction
	 - Provide end-user training at customer sites and facilities
	 - Plan and coordinate logistics for service visits, including travel and expense reporting
	 - Act as a liaison between customers and engineering, manufacturing, and parts/sales teams
	 - Collect customer feedback and relay continuous improvement opportunities
	 - Promote quality, safety, and environmental compliance in all activities
	 - Support other duties as assigned by management
	
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
	 - Strong mechanical aptitude
	 - Valid US Driver’s License & Passport (must be able to book rental cars for travel)
	 - Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
	 - Self-directed, independent worker; skilled at problem-solving and proactive issue avoidance
	 - Strong team player with a customer-focused mindset
	
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical training in electrical systems (single-phase, 3-phase, or low voltage)
	 - Experience with logic circuits, electric motors, mechanical devices, or plastic processing
	 - Experience using measuring and test equipment (micrometers, multimeters, etc.)
	 - Prior field service or global travel experience
	 - Second language proficiency
	
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing
	 - Ability to work in both office and industrial settings; exposure to loud noise, moving parts, and airborne particles may occur (PPE provided)
	 - Occasional extended periods of sitting during international flights
	 - Ability to meet vision requirements (close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, focus adjustment)
	
Schedule & Training:
- Standard schedule: Mon-Fri
	 - After comprehensive training (6-12 months in Kent, OH), position is hybrid/remote with approximately 50%+ travel, including some weekends as required
