The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the lifecycle of engineering projects from initial receipt of order to delivery and final closure. The Senior Project Manager has the autonomy to make project decisions in order to maintain the scope, schedule, and budget as defined in the internal/external contract documents. Exercises independent judgment with regard to matters of significance. This position reports to the Power Generation Engineering Team Leader. Responsibilities:Managing multiple engineering projects of varying values concurrently Maintain intimate familiarity with contract scope; pursue clarification from sales and/or customers when neededIdentify scope creeps as they occur and request change orders in conjunction with the Sales group prior to executing the modified scopeMonitor and control project budget and spending Stand as the projects primary point of contact between the customer and Airline Hydraulics; Manage customer relationships and expectationsStand as the projects primary point of contact internally within Airline Hydraulics; Facilitate communication between the different Airline Hydraulics groups internally including Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Order Processing (OPG) as well as outside contractors as needed. Coordinate project meetings with stakeholders when needed (internal and external kickoffs as required); Record and publish meeting notes to stakeholdersWithin the project team, define roles and responsibilities for the duration of the project; Coordinate responsibilities between the Engineering Groups within Airline as required.Plan and generate project timelines using industry-standard tools (e.g. Gantt Charts, Monday); Develop full-scale project plans defining project tasks and resource requirementsMonitor project progress according to the established baseline throughout the lifetime of the project; Identify schedule creep before adverse impact occursTrack project deliverables, documentation submittals, as well as delivery of purchased items per schedule; Expedite delivery of items as required by project timelineRegularly report project status to internal and external stakeholders as required by the schedule; Hold internal parties accountable for keeping the scheduleMake sure that all parties involved with the project have needed information (e.g. Approvals, Specifications, etc.) and resources to accomplish their tasks by the scheduled deadlinesBring in required authorities within Airline Hydraulics to make executive decisions as needed. For example, Change Orders of substantial costs or Warranty costs going against a project will require management ApprovalCoordinate with Engineering and QA groups to ensure deliverables meet customer specificationsHelp navigate post shipment support across our internal team and our customers; this could include warranty claims, documentation requirements, RMAs, customer questions, and our field service engineerRun project close out meetings with project stakeholders and management to go over wins, losses, and lessons learned throughout the projectOther duties as assigned Requirements:Minimum 10 years experience within project management or similar fieldAdvanced level of knowledge of shop processesHigh proficiency in our business systemAssist in training new project managersComplete understanding of our HOPW, EW documentationMust be able to interpret instructions from multiple coworkersMust be a team playerMust read and understand hydraulic and mechanical blueprintsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, and OutlookWorking knowledge of AutoCAD is a plusPrecise detail orientation and focusStrong communication, organization, and time management skillsFamiliarity with hydraulic machine parts is a plusExperience working in a manufacturing or production office environment is preferredBenefits:Medical/Dental/Vision/Disability effective first of the month after the hire datePTO accrual begins upon hireReferral bonuses100% employee-owned plus 401k with company match
