Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Testing Technician to support the testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrade of low- and medium-voltage power distribution equipment in mission-critical environments. This role supports a wide range of facilities including industrial plants, healthcare campuses, data centers, and utility infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical testing and field service work, with hands-on experience performing acceptance and maintenance testing in accordance with NETA, ANSI, IEEE, and NFPA standards. This position offers the opportunity to work onplex electrical systems while supporting reliability, safety, and operational performance for critical power infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Perform acceptance and maintenance testing in accordance with NETA ATS/MTS standards
Inspect, troubleshoot, test, and maintain low- and medium-voltage electrical distribution equipment
Supportmissioning, startup, and emergency response service activities
Execute circuit breaker testing, maintenance, upgrades, and replacement projects
Perform retrofit and modernization services on existing electrical equipment
Install and support metering systems and asset monitoring solutions
Analyze test data and identify deficiencies, hazards, and potential failure risks
Interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, schematics, and specifications
Prepare detailed NETApliant field service reports and technical documentation
Maintain strict adnce to NFPA 70E and all site-specific safety procedures
Communicate findings, rmendations, and project updates directly with customers and project stakeholders
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical testing, troubleshooting, and servicing of power distribution equipment
Strong understanding of low- and medium-voltage electrical systems
Experience using electrical testing instruments and diagnostic equipment
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and specifications
Familiarity with NETA, IEEE, ANSI, and NFPA standards
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites
Must be at least 18 years of age
Preferred Qualifications
NETA Certification (Level II, III, or IV) strongly preferred
Experience working for NETA-accreditedanizations, electrical manufacturers, or service-focused electrical contractors
Hands-on experience with medium-voltage cable terminations and splicing
Experience performing low-voltage circuit breaker testing and maintenance
Background supporting equipment upgrades, retrofits, and modernization projects
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Work Environment
Field-based role with travel to customer and project sites
Work performed in energized and de-energized environments
Exposure to industrial facilities, substations, healthcare facilities, and mission-critical/data center environments
Ability to lift equipment, climb ladders, and work in physically demanding conditions
