Plenitude On The Road (POTR) is seeking an Operations Manager (m/f/d) to oversee the performance and operations of its EV charging network in Germany. The role includes site visits across Germany and occasional travel to Italy.
In this position, you will ensure the optimal performance of charging infrastructure in Germany through continuous monitoring, technical support, remote diagnostics, and the management of anomalies in accordance with contractual SLAs. You will coordinate and supervise on-site maintenance and repair activities, including both preventive and corrective maintenance. In addition, you will be responsible for spare parts management and will support the development and optimisation of service processes as well as technical documentation. You will report directly to the Head of Operations Germany & Austria.
The role requires excellent German and strong English communication skills; Italian or other European languages are a plus.

Main responsibilities:
Operations Management & Network Performance
- Manage operations and maintenance of the EV charging network across Germany, ensuring high availability and reliability
- Monitor performance, uptime, utilisation, and key KPIs
- Provide technical support, perform remote diagnostics, and manage anomalies in line with SLAs
- Coordinate and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance, including contractor interventions
- Manage spare parts and ensure effective incident and escalation handling
Network Optimisation
- Analyse performance data to identify issues and improve utilisation and customer experience
- Drive optimisation initiatives and support expansion opportunities at existing sites
Stakeholder & Partner Management
- Act as the main operational contact for site hosts, service providers, and maintenance partners
- Manage external service providers to ensure service quality and SLA compliance
- Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, product, operations) and ensure clear reporting
Electrical Safety & Compliance (VEFK)
- Act as Verantwortliche Elektrofachkraft (VEFK) in line with DIN VDE 1000-10
- Ensure compliance with VDE, DGUV, and applicable regulations
- Define and oversee electrical safety procedures and supervise contractor works
- Maintain safety documentation and support incident investigations
Process Improvement & On-Call Support
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, systems, and documentation
- Provide on-call support for second-level technical issues and critical escalations
Skills and experience required:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Verantwortliche Elektrofachkraft (VEFK) certification (essential)
- Relevant experience in operations, field service, or maintenance in e-mobility, energy, or similar sectors
- Strong knowledge of MV/LV electrical systems and HSE topics related to maintenance activities
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and site electrical plans within MV/LV infrastructure environments
- Experience in managing contractors and service providers
- Willingness to travel regularly within Germany
- Availability for on-call support
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Fluency in German and English; Italian is a plus
- Proven ability to manage multiple operational priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with IT systems, telecom infrastructure, remote monitoring platforms, or e-mobility technologies
- Strong skills in presentations, reporting, and Microsoft Office tools
