Instrumentation and Controls Electrical Technician Lead

We are looking for our next Instrumentation and Controls Electrical Technician Lead to join our team at Tualatin Valley Water District!

The Position:

You will be responsible for leading a team of two other SCADA Technicians in maintaining, testing, and upgrading TVWDs and the Willamette Water Supply Systems (WWSS) supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system. The data collection and reporting that you three facilitate will help staff effectively control water system operations. Youll be an integral part of keeping water flowing smoothly to 222,800 people. Priorities and Projects:

1. TVWDs new water source, the WWSS, will be operational in late 2026 or early 2027. TVWD is the managing agency of this supply and responsible for the design and construction of future expansions as well as its integration into the current TVWD water system.
2. TVWD is always working on a variety of capital improvement projects aimed at improving the resiliency of our water system infrastructure.

Our System Operations Team Culture:

This team manages TVWDs reservoirs, pump stations, and pressure regulating stations, ensuring reliable delivery to our customers. In addition to TVWDs system, the SCADA Team will support Operations at the WWSS water treatment plant, WWSS raw water facility, and turnouts. The team brings a diverse skillset to the table, and collaboration is keythey are always willing to help each other out.

Are You Our Ideal Candidate?

Were looking for someone with the following experience, skills, and traits to join our team:

• Associate degree or equivalent from a college or technical school in industrial controls, automation, instrumentation, computer science, computer programming, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience using programming languages, control software, industrial control programming, and related tools for industrial process controls systems design or similar.
• Some supervisory experience.
• A Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) license or higher as issued by the Oregon Building Codes Division or have the ability to obtain one within one year of accepting the position.
• Accountabletaking pride and ownership in work successes and failures.
• Dependablegood attendance and the ability to answer after-hours calls and questions.
• Safety-driven
• Self-starterable to work in an unsupervised environment and appropriately prioritize work.
• Team playerable to take direction equally well from a supervisor or coworkers.

Compensation/Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $109,907.20 - $164,860.80 per year depending on experience. The range will increase by 2.8% on July 1. We would expect to offer the low end of that range for candidates who match the low end of the listed experience range and where we would expect to invest significantly in your training and the high end for extremely experienced candidates who would be function at a senior level with significant autonomy. Most hires fall somewhere in between.
