About the role:
We are looking for a Project Engineer II to support a portfolio of capital projects across a fleet of power generation facilities in Denver, CO. You will oversee emergent and smalltomedium capital projects, while also supporting larger capital projects. You will work with operations, reliability engineering, and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
You will follow a hybrid schedule, with 3 days onsite per week (typically Monday-Wednesday), and may require up to 5 days onsite during active project phases. We require travel within Colorado to different plant sites, and occasionally necessitates overnight travel. We reimburse all travel expenses, including lodging, mileage, and meals, per policy.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage multiple concurrent capital projects (up to ~20 small projects at a time)
Support planning, development, and execution of plant capital projects
Develop project scopes, technical specifications, and cost estimates
Coordinate bidding processes and vendor selection
Collaborate with operations and reliability teams to identify project needs and justify scope
Oversee contractors and ensure work is performed safely and according to specifications
Coordinate materials, equipment deliveries, and installation schedules
Participate in daily planning meetings (POD) to agree on priorities and site activities
Maintain project documentation, budgets, and administrative requirements
Support reliability projects by identifying improvement opportunities across plant systems
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field)
2+ years of experience in engineering or project management
Experience managing projects from initiation through completion
Experience in a plant, manufacturing, or industrial environment
