Journeyman Installation Technician Requirements & Qualifications:

Must Haves

• Active Journeyman HVAC license
• 5+ years of hands-on HVAC installation experience
• EPA Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
• Strong knowledge of residential HVAC systems including furnaces, ACs, heat pumps, ductwork, and ventilation
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Install complete HVAC systems in residential and light commercial environments
• Perform system start-ups, testing, and calibration to ensure proper performance
• Modify and fabricate ductwork as needed for proper airflow and system efficiency
• Ensure all work meets local codes, manufacturer specs, and safety standards
• Troubleshoot installation issues and make real-time adjustments in the field
• Communicate clearly with homeowners regarding system operation and best practices
• Maintain a clean, organized truck and safe job site
• Complete installation documentation and job records accurately
