Machine Operator / Production Operator Job Description The Production Operator safely operates and maintains production machinery to meet quality, efficiency, and safety goals in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Operate, monitor, and maintain production machinery safely and efficiently according to standardized work instructions. Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, tape measures, and other hand tools to verify they meet quality specifications. Perform quality control and quality inspection activities to ensure products meet required standards before moving to the next stage. Identify, troubleshoot, and promptly report mechanical, safety, or production issues to the appropriate personnel. Track hourly production results accurately and communicate equipment status and production concerns to supervisors. Support general production, assembly, and assembly line tasks as needed to meet production targets. Handle materials and parts safely, including lifting items up to 35 pounds regularly and to chest height when required. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by following best practices and providing feedback on processes and equipment. Essential Skills Proven ability to operate production or manufacturing machinery safely and efficiently. Experience with machine operation or general production work in a manufacturing environment. You will work with production machinery and precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, tape measures, and various hand tools, and may interact with CNC machines, press brakes, and laser equipment. The standard schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., with work centered on precision machining and production for the automotive industry in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.
