My client is a top notch MEP Consulting Engineering firm located in the county seat of Media. They are actively looking for a Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer.

• Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• Ability to communicate well both orally and in writing.
• Two (2) twenty five (25) years of experience in designing heating, ventilating, cooling, plumbing, and/or fire protection systems (design for municipal, commercial, or industrial facilities is preferred).
• A PE license, or plans of obtaining their PE license, is preferred.
• Experience with Revit is preferred.
• Relevant areas of experience include:
• Application of various types of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and hydronic piping systems
• Ductwork sizing and design
• Heating and cooling load calculations
• Hot water boiler and chilled water system design
• HVAC controls systems and building/facility management systems
• ASME B31.1 Power Piping or ASME B3.9 Building Services Piping designs
• International Mechanical Code, Plumbing Code and Fire Code
• Performance of detailed HVAC and hydraulic pressure drop calculations
• Performance of Plumbing pipe sizing and fixture count analysis
• SMANCA Duct Construction Standards
• NFPA 13, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems
• NFPA 820, Standard for Fire Protection in Waste Treatment and Collection Facilities
