Reactor Operator

A manufacturer of light-weight automotive materials is seeking a Reactor Operator to support HB production operations at their Monroe, MI facility. This position is responsible for operating reactor equipment, monitoring production processes, and ensuring products meet established quality, safety, and efficiency standards. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to make sound decisions based on production and quality data.
Available shifts: Both starting at $16/hr2nd shift (3pm - 1130pm, Monday - Friday with potential Saturday work)3rd shift (11pm - 730am, Monday - Friday with potential Saturday work)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor reactor equipment used in HB production.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of HB processes and critical production operations.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and emergency response protocols.
• Adhere to process documentation and standard operating procedures for all assigned areas.
• Perform raw material loading and unloading activities, including required inspections and verification checks.
• Conduct quality control checks, including DSC testing, weight verification, and QA inspections of beads and materials.
• Monitor and perform utility system checks, including boiler room inspections as required.
• Complete silo inspections and material transfers.
• Monitor and maintain HB and wastewater treatment (WWT) chemical levels.
• Review and interpret production and quality data to identify and address process issues.
• Collaborate with team members to support production goals and continuous improvement efforts.
• Work additional hours or overtime as needed to meet customer and production requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing experience required.
• Experience working with metric measurements and production data.
• Ability to interpret basic production and quality information to support decision-making.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions while exercising independent judgment when appropriate.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, stoop, push, pull, twist, and perform repetitive movements as needed.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
