Job Description
Perform general maintenance on facilities equipment and systems including process and facilities cooling water, fuels distribution, industrial gas, compressed air, boilers, water treatment, battery banks and emergency power systems. Perform general maintenance to all heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. Develop schedule and perform preventative maintenance on all HVAC and facilities equipment and systems. Perform periodic monitoring of facilities systems through digital building management systems and hands-on checks to prevent unscheduled downtime. Troubleshoot and set up control system schematics. Coordinate repairs with contracted services, as needed. Schedule fuel deliveries, maintain fuel usage logs, record emergency generator run-time data and perform other facilities record-keeping, as required. Perform electrical, mechanical, plumbing repairs and direct employees. Any employee in this position is required to complete various tasks encompassed by any previously held maintenance position.
NOTES
Plant assignment could change according to workload.
Position could require working some holidays, shutdowns, and OT.
Position may require temporary shift changes.
Candidate will be required to obtain Propane certification (Plant 2) or NORA certification (Plant 1) and an electrical license (minimum Type S).
Minimum Requirements
Basic knowledge of facility systems and equipment
HVAC repair and preventative maintenance experience
Good troubleshooting skills
Ability to be self-directed and be able to direct others including contractors
Excellent communication skills
Commitment to team goals
High peer and production area credibility
Demonstrated follow through on projects and tasks
- This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations, working with chemicals, and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.
Desirable Qualifications
Propane Certified Employee Training Program License
NORA Technician Program Silver or Gold certificate
Master, Journeyman, or Type S Electrical License
EPA Section 608 Universal Technician Certification
Broad range of GE equipment repair experience
Maintenance MR/ER Certification
Project management experience
Demonstrated troubleshooting skills
