The Quality Specialist - Learning Solutions will support the stand up of new training software and hardware tools. This includes supporting simulation tools, technology enhanced learning solutions, learning management, digital information delivery, digital record retention and regulatory adherence for our expanding fleet of SMR projects. The Learning Solutions specialist will collaborate with project teams in the early phases of the project lifecycle to establish appropriate standards, data models, and information management roadmaps. As the project progresses, the Learning Solutions specialist will transition to coordinating with follow-on project teams to ensure adherence to these standards and their consistent application throughout the project.
Provides expertise in analyzing technical learning needs for SMR business, designs and delivers training solutions. Has proven IT technical capability with hardware/software, instructional design capability, knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the training technology design and development of the Initial Certification/License Training Programs for the BWRX-300 following industry best practices.
- Contribute to the training technology design and development of the Continuing Training Programs for both licensed and non-licensed staff.
- Contribute to the quality oversite of the training IT systems supporting the curriculum/materials for both licensed and non-licensed training programs for the BWRX300 and other similar technologies.
- Analyze needs of global training program requirements to develop IT solutions that enhance learning delivery, accessibility, and meets all regulatory/regional/local requirements.
- Design robust and scalable IT training systems, including Learning Management System (LMS) integrations, training development tool workflows, and hosting environments.
- Develop and configure IT systems to support training programs, ensuring seamless integrations with existing customer and organizational platforms.
- Oversee deployment of systems, including user acceptance testing, documentation, communication, release planning, performance optimization, and security compliance.
- Implement and maintain systems that deliver training content to a diverse global customer base, including tools and environments for virtual and in-person delivery.
- Evaluate, establish priorities, and continuously improve effectiveness of IT systems using metrics, feedback, and audits.
- Act as GEH Training IT liaison for program stakeholder, customer, internal, and regulatory venues.
- Provide technical support and training for customers and internal teams using IT systems.
- Work with training instructors and personnel to support the management and delivery of the training programs and provide strong leadership for assigned programs.
- Contribute to developing/supporting corrective actions to address identified areas for improvement.
- Work with other training and business units to support the Fleet Services enterprises.
- Perform special assignments and other related activities as assigned by the Training Manager/Leader.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, or Computer Engineering. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of in-depth experience in IT systems analysis, design, infrastructure, operations, and implementation.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with technology/software release planning, version control, and change management.
- Minimum 4 years of expertise in LMS and LCMS administration, configuration, and troubleshooting. Preferred knowledge with VISION Developer & VISION Learning Station.
- Minimum 4 years of strong knowledge of web hosting environments, server management, and virtualization technologies. Preferred knowledge with Windows Server 2019+, Citrix, ColdFusion, and AWS.
- Minimum 3 years of expertise with systems integration methodologies, including API configuration and identify management platforms like Keycloak.
- 5 years with IT security principles, compliance standards, and global data protection regulations.
Eligibility Requirements
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally to GE Vernova, vendors, and customer sites as necessary to support IT training technology initiatives.
- The required work locations is the Wilmington, NC Headquarters (relocation assistance provided)

Desired Characteristics:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, or Computer Engineering
- Knowledge of Nuclear Power Plant technologies; including BWR and PWR.
- Minimum of 4 years training experience in the nuclear industry, familiar with nuclear industry standards and training practices.
- Training Program development and implementation experience under both INPO and NRC Regulatory Frameworks.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and technology enhanced learning.
- Experience in IT risk management, incident response, disaster recovery planning.
- Experience with Computer Based Training (CBT) implementation including multi-media training content using current industry approaches such as Articulate, Captivate, Adobe CC, or similar.
- Knowledge of nuclear power plant simulation platforms such as 3KEYMaster.
- Knowledge of designing and developing computer automated tasks.
- Knowledge of developing and managing multilingual training programs and region-specific requirements.
- Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and industry requirements.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Knowledgeable with Nuclear Information and Records Management Association (NIRMA)
- Demonstrated ability to operate computer systems, including demonstrated proficiency in the following software applications: MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, Excel, Smartsheet, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Excellent written and oral technical communication skills including technical English composition, grammar, syntax, formatting, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively convey technical concepts to customers and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated personal integrity with ability to handle proprietary, confidential, export controlled and complex technical information.
- Organized self-starter, with demonstrated ability to perform under pressure, set priorities, meet tight deadlines and with proven ability to gauge needs and proactively act without direct supervision.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills, excellent planning, project leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, setting priorities and successfully managing multiple tasks simultaneously with high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
The base pay range for this position is $93,500 to $135,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on Wednesday May7th
