This position will beresponsible for assisting in the growth and development of the WastewaterMarket Sector in Colorado; which includes projects such as wastewatertreatment facilities, pipelines and pump stations, solids treatment, andmaster planning. Primary responsibilities include advancing businessdevelopment strategies, development and pursuit of new clients and newprojects, project management, technical lead on projects, and staffdevelopmentThis position also includes scheduling work, providing training, andreviewing work. Requires an understanding of multidisciplinary teamcoordination, compilation of design and construction contract documents,design standards and practices, the ability to interact with multiplebusiness groups (e.g. transportation, water/wastewater, permitting,and power and energy groups) across both local and regional HDR offices,facilitation of day-to-day business class or group activities in support ofthe wastewater lead, strong writing and oral skills, and a track record ofcompleting work on time and within budget. In the role of Wastewater Process Engineer/Manager, we'llcount on you to:Evaluate emerging/embryonic technologies. Develop and implement pilotingworkplans on such technologies with strategic clients nationwide.Engage with our clients to discuss their needs and how HDR can assist them.Design responsibilities include preparing construction documents for water andwastewater systems, calculations, writing specifications, analysis andstudy-level reports for water and wastewater treatment, distribution, andcollection systems, determining appropriate design methods, equipmentsizing and selection Engineering/process design.Project coordination.Equipment sizing and selection and working directly with the owner.Strong writing and oral skills: the majority of evaluations that HDRperforms requires a final report and client presentation.Serving as owner's representative, coordination ofinspection/observation activities, review and response to shop drawings,submittals, requests for clarification and other construction relatedcorrespondence, coordination of startup, commissioning and acceptanceactivitieHelps to coordinate the work of engineers and the balance of themulti-discipline project team throughout the entire project development.Conducts work sessions for design development and contract document inconjunction with other staff.Presentations at local, regional, and international conferences.Preferred Qualifications:A solid foundation in various branches of w ter related environmentalengineering, development of construction drawings, and strong technicalwriting and organizational skills are essential requirements for thisposition. Specific required qualifications include:Minimum of 7 years' experience designing and supporting implementation ofwastewater projects. Strong technical background and experience in designingtreatment systems, collection systems, and pump station projects.Software knowledge: Microsoft Office; hydraulic or process modelingsoftware experience a plus.Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team tocompletion of a task.
