MWH is a leading water and wastewater treatment focused general contractor in the US with a rich history dating back to the 19th century Fueled by the mission of Building a Better World our teams are rapidly growing across the nation As a company committed to our teams well being and growth we offer a supportive work environment opportunities for advancement and the chance to contribute to a mission that shapes the future Your expertise and ambition are valued here The work we do matters The critical systems infrastructure we build changes lives betters communities and improves ecosystems If youre passionate about this we want to hear from you About the Role MWH is currently seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Project Manager to lead large scale critical waterwastewater treatment plant construction projects Projects may be either integrated project delivery such as CM at Risk or Design Build or traditional Design Bid Build The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of project delivery operations and business development functioning as a true seller doer who can manage projects while building client relationships and contributing to the growth of our company This role requires strong leadership technical acumen and a proven record of managing complex multi million dollar water infrastructure projects Essential Functions Project Leadership Execution Lead the planning execution and close out of large scale waterwastewater treatment plant projects typically 50M 300MOversee project teams including engineers superintendents field staff and subcontractors providing leadership and technical supportMonitorcontrol construction investigating potentially serious situations and implementing corrective measuresProcure subcontractors and materials through purchase agreements and subcontractsEnsure safety quality schedule and budget goals are met or exceededProactively manage project risk change orders and claims while protecting company interestsEnsure compliance with contract requirements technical specifications and applicable codes and standardsWork in a manner to ensure your personal safety and ensure that direct reporting employees follow safe work practices using company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe mannerAssume additional responsibilities as directed by senior leadershipClient Stakeholder Management Serve as the primary point of contact for owners engineers and stakeholdersFoster and maintain long term client relationships through consistent communication and performanceAct as a trusted advisor to clients providing expertise on constructability delivery methods and project challengesLead or participate in partnering sessions preconstruction planning meetings and progress updatesSeller DoerBusiness Development Identify pursue and help secure new work in the waterwastewater market with a focus on existing clients and target pursuitsCollaborate with marketing estimating and executive leadership on strategic pursuits and proposalsParticipate in presentations interviews and industry events to represent the company and build brand visibilityAssist in developing annual business development goals and growth plans for assigned regions or marketsFinancial Management Establish and maintain project budgets; monitor project costs and proactively implement corrective actions as neededCollaborate with project accounting and finance teams on forecasts cash flow and cost controlProvide timely and accurate monthly reportingTeam Development Leadership Mentor and develop project staff; foster a high performing team first cultureConduct performance reviews and support professional development for assigned team membersPromote a collaborative environment across field and office teams ensuring alignment and accountability Basic Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Construction Management CivilEnvironmental Engineering or related field; or equivalent experience and trainingeducationMinimum of 10 years of construction design finance and management experienceknowledge required on heavy civil or industrial construction projects5 years of experience on water or wastewater plant projectsProven ability to lead construction projects;
