The City of Greenville is now accepting applications for the position of:

Utility Worker I

Duties: Under regular supervision, performs skilled work in the Water Distribution/Wastewater Collection Division of the Public Works Department. Work involves providing support for water and wastewater repair and maintenance. Reports to the Utility Superintendent. Repairs and/or replaces water mains and main lines; repairs sewer and water service lines; repairs fire hydrants; installs valves and water repair clamps; repairs driveways and sidewalks; makes new water and sewer taps; repairs manholes; pours concrete; and operates a variety of vehicles and equipment. Will be subject to call out including nights, weekends, and holidays.

High school diploma or GED preferred. Must be able to obtain a Class I Wastewater Collection license and/or Class D Water license. Must have or be able to obtain a Commercial drivers license within a 6-month period.

Starting Pay Rate: DOQ

Hours: Monday Friday 7 am to 4 pm Full-Time position with benefits.
