Utilities Maintenance Manager

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of education, experience, and skills that enable them to excel in this position. The following qualifications outline what were looking for, including both required and preferred criteria:

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
• Bachelors degree in engineering preferred
• 5+ years of progressive work experience in a utility focused role responsible for ammonia refrigeration, steam boiler, and air compressor operations and maintenance, required.
• 3+ years manufacturing experience with demonstrated technical aptitude and leadership
• Experience working with a CMMS system like MVP, SAP, Maximo
• Experienced in supervising support personnel

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Fundamental knowledge of maintenance planning and scheduling systems
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience troubleshooting electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to work in a fluid environment
• Ability to identify problems, draw conclusions, and make recommended solutions
• Ability to be self-directed with little supervision
• Understand TPM and continuous improvement methods
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
• Availability to be on call nights and/or weekends as required
• Working knowledge of screw compressors, electrical troubleshooting all common types of ammonia central systems, & control/alarm systems, water tube and fire tube boilers, and compressed air systems
• HAZ-MAT training
• RETA 1&2 certification a plus
• Process Safety Management training
• Ability to adjust schedule to support 24/7 Manufacturing Operation; may include working graveyard shift and/or weekends as needed.
