Role description: Role description: Arcadis' Resilience Water team is seeking a Project Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our Houston, TX office, supporting the design and delivery of critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects. In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering impactful projects that directly support communities across Texas. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to take projects from concept through constructiongaining exposure to complex infrastructure challenges while building your technical and project leadership capabilities. Role accountabilities: As a Project Water/Wastewater Engineer, you'll support project planning, design, and execution activities for water and wastewater treatment plants, water transmission and distribution systems, pump stations, wastewater collection systems, and lift stations. You'll partner closely with clients and internal leaders to shape project scope, develop innovative solutions, and ensure successful, on-time delivery. Beyond project execution, you'll contribute to business development efforts, help position the team for future opportunities, and mentor entry-level engineersmaking a visible impact both within the organization and across the communities we serve. What You'll Do: * Lead the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects from concept through construction * Manage project budgets, schedules, and teams to ensure high-quality, on-time, and profitable delivery * Collaborate with clients, Area Leaders, and Account Leaders to define project scope, develop fee estimates, and manage risk * Contribute to business development efforts, including proposals, presentations, and client engagement strategies * Mentor and support junior engineers while upholding strong quality, safety, and technical excellence standards Travel for this role is approximately 20% and includes site visits, client meetings, and business development activities. Qualifications & Experience: Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or related field * 5 years of related industry experience in the water/wastewater field * PE License in Texas (or ability to obtain TX PE within 6 months) Preferred Qualifications: * Master's degree in Engineering or an MBA * 8+ years of related industry experience in the water/wastewater field * Experience leading projects or major design tasks for municipal clients Why Arcadis?
