PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Regularly and customarily is responsible for the monitoring, control and operion of nuclear stion equipment for the control room.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Monitors recorders and indicors within control room for the nuclear and turbine generor systems for operion within prescribed limits. Obtains overview da and performs various calculions as required
- Performs operions in accordance with administrive procedures and NRC license including shift turnovers, maintenance log etc
- Responds to plant indicors and alarms in accordance with plant procedures including indentifying those parameters th are indicive of an emergency condition and initiing designed actions
- Responds to and takes action as required in mitiging consequences of plant transient. Required to be thoroughly familiar with entry conditions and cautions for the emergency opering procedure and the basis of each step.
- Participes as a member of the stion fire brigade and will be required to function as a fire brigade leader
- Responsible in identifying and correcting deficient conditions through the use of the stion Corrective Action Program, initiing action requests for merial condition issues and submitting procedure change request as approprie
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Associes Degree in engineering, engineering technology or a reled science field or equivalency*
- * Equivalency for Associes of Science degree is established by meeting the criteria below:
- 43 credit hours of post secondary educion of which 75% ( least 8 courses or 32 hours) is advanced mh, physics, chemistry and/ or engineering/engineering technology. Transcripts will be required to verify coursework.
- OR Documented training and experience applicable to power generion opering experience while a member of the Nuclear Navy Program.
- Must pass a pre-employment POSS and BMST test
- Must be able to obtain unescorted access to a nuclear facility as a critical group member
- Must meet TQ-AA-F10-150 eligibilty
